Eden Valley Walk
As a member of the original design team and a walker I have been along it in sections to check on the ground that which I had written [Edenbridge text].
As reported in Fridays Courier that KCC are to disassociate themselves at a time when so much time and effort is being expended on attracting Tourists to the Town I find unbelievable, even incredible.
When I see that the decision is not even budget driven!!
Perhaps the concern is the security of buildings and their occupants along the route and there would be sympathy for the apprehension and unease at this time of great changes in attitude towards Public Rights of Way.
The Town Council Footpath Committee have shown the way for other Councils in maintaining and publicising the extensive network that we have---and used by all sorts of groups whose age range is surprising !
One might say from the cradle to the grave.
The facility having been created through the contributions by a dedicated group of individuals and organisations it is hardly likely enamor them in their relations with the County Council bureaucrats.
I hope that other appreciative persons will express their views at speed to take account of such events as closing date approaches.
